What caught my imagination with this compilation release was the sheer authenticity and substance of the majority of tracks. This isn’t a hastily thrown together collection of dumbed-down dance tracks; it’s a richly contemporary, cultured blend of sophisticated Latin American dance music. If you prefer style and substance, with a strong Latin American twist, to the usual summery batch of replicated dance floor anthems - then you're sure to find Latin Vibes streets ahead of the pack.

An album that does exactly what it says on the tin with it’s selection of summery flavours for the sun-seeking cocktail-quaffing Latin-lounger in all of us. Maybe I’ll book an extra week next year.

This anthology of tunes showcases some contemporary examples of how electronica can be enhanced by the sexy sashay and primal percussion of Latin and Afro-Latin sounds. Entries swing from the imaginatively leftfield to the genuinely lively through generally indulge in their influences respectfully and creatively. if you want cheesy whistles and samba drum roll samples look else where. this is for lovers of stylish 'son' and gorgeously supine bossa.

Anyone who appreciates sophisticated dance, light jazz and lounge will want Latin Vibes in their collection. The breadth and balance on this disc are impressive and the sound is definitely cool.

You get a real feel that the music is delivered with passion as we hear great production, clear crisp music and latin american rhythm.If you're looking for a chill out album with a difference then chose this. It makes a welcome change from the usual chillout remixes of contemporary dance tunes that are doing the rounds at the moment.

What's On in London;
There is no doubt that compilations of this nature are on the increase and sell well to a hip market of music lovers that like to be ahead of the game. Mettle Music are maturing to become leaders in the field and with this standard very few will come close to matching their musical pedigree and they will find it hard to better the standard chosen for this set.
