Well there's certainly some obscure stuff here ; not only an unrecorded B. sonata (15-17 but also Facco (who is better it seems in concertos (see FACCO, Giacomo - Pensieri adriamonici Op1 1-6 - Arte dell'Arco – dhm 05472/77514/2) and Porretti and Vidal (both news to me). The playing is fine and enthusiastic - but the period instruments don't have the sense of excitment they might and there is only a cello continuo - more variation (guitar/harpsichord) would have been welcome. In general the discs mentioned below are superior - but as an introdutcion to late 18th cent. Italian and Italianate cello, this is good fare. And of course reasonably priced:
