    I decided to go for a 19" monitor whilst upgrading my PC last month, and this is the one I chose.

    I'm very happy with it. It's well deisgned, looking clean and bright with controls blended nicely onto the fascia. The setup and use have proved simple, if you're using XP you just plug it in and off you go, and the menus are logical and well thought out.

    At first the 19" screen seemed enourmous, although I guess I take it for granted now. When reading up on monitors prior to purchase I was a little unsure about a TFT initially as I also use my PC for gaming and had heard stories about "refresh rate" horrors for serious gamers (not that I include myself in that category). This screen has an 8ms refresh rate (which is about as good as it gets with TFT's at present) and as far as I'm aware is currently is the only 19" TFT in this price bracket to do so. Anyhow it's fine for gaming as far as I can see.

    What are the bad points... Well it's a basic package. No DVI or USB connections (which I think would have won it the full five stars here), and it doesn't have any built in speakers. Personally I didn't require/need any of these so it wasn't an issue for me.

    If you look at reviews of this and similar products you will find that it's consistently among the "best buys". There are some slighlty cheaper, some with a few more bells and whistles, but for my money this is the one if you want a 19" TFT with fast refresh rate, good build quality and an attractive affordable package.

    Bought as part of an upgrade - going from 15" to 19". As others have said, 5 minutes after opening the box it was up and running (although I had pre-loaded the driver from the Samsung website). Picture quality cannot be faulted - in my view - and the menus are simple enough. No dead pixels. What more could you ask for - for under £200. Finally - the stand is described as "simple" - but it adjusts.

    I have just bought two of these monitors in order to run dual screens on my PC. They do exactly what I want of a monitor. Easy to set up and no dead pixels on either screen. Wide viewing angle too.

    Unlike Andy from London, my monitors have an adjustable angle. You can't alter the height, but I can change the angle. I'd say it can go from about 10 degrees forward of vertical (ie. the screen pointing slightly downwards) to about 35 degrees behind vertical (screen pointing diagonally upwards).

    We have 3 PC's in the house and mine is the only 19" of this type. I'm going to upgrade the kids systems and have no doubts about going for another 2 of these.
