I sat down with this last night and it turned out to be seriously flawed. The negatives:
The video had annoying inappropriate rock music playing intermittantly in the background. The video is shot, produced and narrated by the same person and it shows. It has embarassing video effects which wouldn't look out of place in an early 1980's Kenny Everett episode. While the archive stills are okay, the modern footage is badly shot at some classic car meet, even worse, there isn't enough of it so you start seeing the same dull footage twice! The narrator is so boring I felt like nodding off. The wife looked up from her laptop and said if you turn out like that I'm leaving!
The positves: There isn't much of this stuff to watch and it is historically interesting, even if the narrator does sound like he's reading from a book. You have to be pretty keen on MG history to sit through this, and it's nowhere near the standard required to be broadcast. It's a shame as it would have been good if professionally put together. Good thing it's cheap.
