This is a live, solo mandolin recording. Sound boring? Be very amazed.

Hamilton de Holanda can play the mandolin with the dexterity, flair and flash of Al Dimeola et al, and with great musicality. The tunes are quite varied, from the obviously Brazillian, to the jazz inflected to the Bach like, with full use of the instrument's (extended -10 string) range.

If you like Grisman, Chris Thile, or virtuoso string playing of any kind, check this guy out (All his other stuff is fantastic too -also a CD of duets with a guitarist called Marco Pereira "Luz das Cordas".
