3.0 out of 5 stars Sanrio Fans Enjoy, 16 Oct 2005
It is quite hard rating this game, but I feel the 3 stars I gave it is fair. I really enjoyed this game and I am very happy to have bought it, so it is almost sad I cannot give it more stars for the pleasure it provided. I have to be fair though - the game was definitely short. The length would not have bothered me that much, if other details had been incorporated instead - like more things to collect, especially more sanrio character profiles and items/accessories. That would give more value, as it was already very enjoyable trying to unlock everything. The controls took me by surprise, there was almost nothing that bothered me control or camera wise. Very crisp, very nice, very easy to use. The bright colors certainly won't let you get blue while playing this game. The game does not offer too much by way of excitement though, a lot of the levels appear slightly too similar, that is why I think this is a game best suited for a Sanrio fan. I do believe that platform gamers can enjoy this game whether or not they are Sanrio fans, but you definitely won't get as much from it if you aren't. There has been a lot of apprehention about this game, calling it kiddy and 'too easy'. If you wish to unlock everything in this game you will find yourself stumped a number of times, and while getting the best rating for every stage will be easy most of the time, there will be a good number of times where you will have to replay the stage. All in all, this game is not less challenging than Luigi's mansion (i might venture far enough to say that final boss aside, it is slightly more challenging even) and noone is complaining about that game! So don't be prejudiced, give it a try.

5.0 out of 5 stars HELLO BRILIANT GAME, 10 Dec 2005
By A Customer
This game is quite frankly the best game I have ever played in my life. The game is endless fun for all the family. The graphics put the XBOX 360 to shame. Hello Kitty is the Japanese equivalent of Halo 2 but better. The first person shoot em up action and storyline can’t be beat. The cute characters make an excellent addition to the already perfect game play. A games console isn’t worth having without this game, it’s what made the PS2 so successful.
(come to think about it its the only game I've played since its release)

1.0 out of 5 stars Sweet but short, 10 Oct 2005
By A Customer
Very very short.
This game is pretty sickly sweet, but in general I quite like that. Hammers that leave trails of tiny hearts are endearing. The colours are so rich that you'll need to turn the colour down on your telly. Much effort has clearly gone into making an authentic Hello Kitty world, but unfortunately this game lacks any real charm or creativity (unlike, say, Animal Crossing) and thus feels solely like a piece of merchandising. To such an extent, in fact, that as you play you feel embarrassed to have been sucked in.
Your embarrassment won't last long, though, because the real deal-breaker in this game is it's length. It's almost criminally short, perhaps a couple of hours taken at a leisurely pace, and once you finish, that's it. Don't expect new levels to be unlocked, or new features to open up. The game is rated at 3+, but much older than three and you'll have a bored child on your hands very quickly. This is the first game I've bought which I consider to be a waste of money.
