Synopsis

Carrie and Barry are a couple in their forties and have a laid back attitude to life, love and sex. It is not the same with their friends and family. Sinead, Barry's 18-year-old daughter, always requires help and support - while Kirk, Barry's business partner treats their house like his own. Carrie's friend Michelle always seems to be able to persuade her to do all sorts of things she doesn't want to do. But in spite of all this there is nothing that could possibly ruin their relationship or is there?

This is such a brilliant sitcom!! being a big neil morrissey fan i was delighted to see him in something instantly likeable and hilarious, another work of art from the writer simon nye! Neil (barry) plays his usual 'tony' from men behaving badly character but as a mature...ish dad and husband character, and carrie plays the stepmum role to his daughter, the script is very original and funny, if you like 'men behaving badly' and 'my family' then this is definitely for you, they get up to all sorts, you cant not like this! i went and saw this show being recorded and saw all the bits that went wrong and was delighted to find the 'out-takes' section, which is just as funny!!

Hurry up and release series 2!!!!!

Extremely funny!!! There's only about 7 minutes out of the entire DVD where there isn't a laugh. I have to say I think it's the best British sitcom ever produced!

the second series is currently on tv and im afraid to say i dont think its as good as the first, they humourous comedy is just the sort of dvd you want to watch when you want to relax, with a likeable cast and funny one liners its the perfect gift for christmas, if you havn't seen it buy it and if you've allreasy watched it then you will allready wnat to buy it!
