Unusually, this original score was released over 2 months behind the film. I've been anticipating its release since I saw Sahara at the cinema.

I am not disappointed! Being a fan of Clive Cussler novels (author of Sahara) you would expect I would be hard to impress. The film hasn't let me down, and the soundtrack is excellent.

Composed by relative newcomer (British pop-composer) Clint Mansell, the Sahara score is somewhat like a new-age James Bond 007 score, but miles better. The action cues are blinding in pace and orchestrated complexity! And even better, Dirk Pitt has been composed a great and memorable theme!

For those who love the Clive Cussler Dirk Pitt adventures, or those who enjoy a good action score, this is a must.
