I've used this Pioneer model with great success, until recently. It began to shut off in the middle play, then not start again when ON button pushed.
Unit then began displaying "no disc" when there was indeed a disc, and kept shutting off. It refused to play.
I read the manual thoroughly. There is no Troubleshooting section to tell me what's gone wrong.
It's very frustrating
I have ordered a new multi-regional DVD player, but will not get another Pioneer. I'll try Phillips this time.
Bummer, because up till recently, the Pioneer was just wonderful. Now I'll just have to throw it out.
