So who is Julien Neto? I have no idea, and the fact that I am sadly the first person to review this album, I fear not enough people know who this very talented fellow is. So we may not know who Julien Neto is, but we have this record, 'Le Fumeil de Ciel', an album surrounded in eddies of cinematic smoke, which possesses a delicate naivity. The ten tracks on this record all incorporate dusty samples, rough tape edits and disintegrated synthesised sounds. What Neto is able to produce from these electroacoustic, vocal free compositions is the same sort of imaginary landscape that Keats evoked in has body of poetry. With this review I have hardly sold the potential of Neto's genius, but I urge anyone who wants to listen to a true gentlemen who beguiles his listener with subtlety and a sense of repressed passion to buy this. If not for me, but for Julien himself.

nice cd. proccessed(spelling?) piano, strings etc with glitchy scrachy samples and minimal beats. dark moody ambient stuff. the piano playing/samples are quite haunting and melodic. a bit like murcof(also worth looking into if you like this). definatly worth a listen or two or three.
