The lowdown:
Nintendogs is brimming with character. Each pup looks out from the DS touchscreen and paws longingly. You can respond to your virtual pet's need of attention by stroking the screen, using items such as balls and brushes with the aid of the stylus, and talking to your dogs through the DS's inbuilt microphone system. Impressive 3D graphics give lifelike animation to these canine wonders.
Most exciting moment:
After a few attempts to speak commands into the microphone, your puppy understands the meaning of "sit", barks approval, and sits down. It's good to talk.

You can keep three pups in your home at any time. When left to their own devices, they'll play and play-fight together. And they call this 'puppy love'.

Purchase one of several breeds available at the beginning of the game, then start spending time with your pup. Throw flying discs and balls to improve the pup`s agility, bathe it when it gets dirty, and repeat voice commands to train the dog to do tricks. If you train it well enough, you`ll excel in dog shows and agility contests, which will earn you money and unlock other items and puppy breeds. When you earn enough cash, you can buy even more puppies to live with yours.
Each version of Nintendogs comes with six breeds to choose from, and you can unlock additional breeds by playing with other owners through wireless gameplay!
- Collect and play with a huge array of items such as tennis balls, flying discs and even clothing accessories.
- Compete in obedience and agility trials to earn cash to buy even more dogs.
- Interact wirelessly with friends` Nintendogs using the innovative Bark Mode.
- Nintendogs, which comes in three versions, features puppies of the most popular dog breeds, including Chihuahuas, Labrador retrievers, beagles and German shepherds. Each version of the game comes with six breeds to choose from at the start, and additional breeds are unlocked as you play the game or interact wirelessly with other Nintendogs players.
