The Fuse, worth every Penny, a Wise choice, 29 Jun 2005
The Fuse, like all Pennywise albums, is fast, aggresive, not hardcore, but powerful. The Fuse carries alot of Melody through Jim's words of wisdom. It is the most modern sounding album as you would expect, "Stand up", is quite progressive for Pennywise, but it's an awsome song. Songs like "Yell out" and "Take a look around", take you back to the earlier days of Pennywise. Byron's drumming is still imensely fast for many of the songs. Fletcher's still ripping up riff's, he's not lost it (not that you should ever doubt the man). As Epitaph is progressing in many different directions and modern Punk is loosing it's edge, Pennywise are still coming up with the goods. Not there best album, but not there worst, a true PW fan should already have this, if not get out, earn a bit of money, it's worth it, you'll get hours of pleasure. Come on it's Pennywise, don't under estimate the power of these Californian Punks that have kept producing Anthems after Anthems.

Another stormer from the masters, 14 Aug 2005
I must admit, it took me a little while to get used to this album. When I bought it I was expecting something similar to the magnificent 'From the Ashes', but this (by Pennywise's standards) is much different. All the trademark Pennywise moments are hear - from the melodies of 'Closer' and '18 Soldiers', to the ridicuously fast-pace of 'Fox TV' and 'Premeditated Murder'. Although it remains loyal to the classic Pennywise sound, it is also probably their most diverse album yet and, barring 'Full Circle', their most emotional. The best track is 'Fox TV', but all the other tracks are great too. It is very enjoyable to listen to and flows extremely fluently. Another two years, another cracker.

A word from the wise. BUY THIS ALBUM, 25 Jul 2005
This is one great album. Pennywise don't really change their sound from their previous albums, which i believe to be a good thing because atleast u know that ur getting a good solid buy. However, like every other pennywise album, the album does have an individual feel to it and some songs are abit more adventurous than the average pennywie song. The sound is still very fast as shown with songs like disconnect, yell out and 6th avenue nightmare. There are also slower songs like 18 soldiers, the kids and lies, which are just as good as the faster songs. Lyrically the album is good. It is political but not as in your face as land of the free? or from the ashes which is a good thing. Highlights are yell out, knock down, disconnect and lies, though i dont really believe there to be a bad song on the album. So, yes this is a typical pennywise album, but that is a good thing and of al of their albums i would say that this is the most different. A definate buy.
