Product Description

Manufacturer's Description

Harry, Ron, and Hermione are back! The Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire videogame will release in November in conjunction with the Warner Bros. Pictures film based on J.K. Rowling's fourth book. Experience the thrilling moments of the movie and put your magic to the ultimate test in co-operative play with up to two friends.

In the Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire videogame, licensed by Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment, Harry is mysteriously selected as the fourth contestant in the dangerous Triwizard Tournament. Each competitor in the international competition must confront a fire-breathing dragon, rescue friends from the icy depths of the Black Lake, and navigate the twisting mysteries of a vast, dangerous maze. Players can experience the thrills of the movie from the Quidditch World Cup campsite to a heart-stopping duel with Lord Voldemort himself!

Harry, Ron, and Hermione are all playable characters, modeled after their big-screen counterparts. An all-new spell-casting system allows players to really feel the magic for the first time as the controller shakes and reacts with every flick of the wand. Gamers can team up with friends in co-operative play to combine magic and produce more powerful spells than ever before!

2.0 out of 5 stars Not bad but not good either, 29 Nov 2005
By Mr. K. R. Dean "Kai Dean" (UK) - See all my reviews
(REAL NAME)
This game looks and sounds great, the problem comes when you play it.

The playbility is pretty poor, you cannot change the camera angles, this means you can never just press the up button to run in a direction you have to try and press both the up and right/left key to run in the direction you want to go and even this does not work most of the time. The controls seem to be very unresponsive 80% of the time.

It is very hard to see what direction your character is facing, granted the PSP screen is small but it gets a bit frustrating when you are trying to tackle some creature in the forest and you keep casting your spells in the opposite direction.

Once you manage to get your character to face in the right direction and manage to cast a spell you will find that this game is very easy. Even my wife managed to complete most of the levels after a short while. This could be seen a good point but you will soon get bored of this game.

I realise this game is probably aimed at the slightly younger generation but kids these days are very advanced at playing video games, I suspect most children will crack this game in next to no time.

If I were you I would go to the local video store and rent this game (like I did) play it and then if you like it buy it, if you don't like you have only lost £4.50 rather than £29.99+

1.0 out of 5 stars Don't think about buying this game, 4 Jan 2006
By A Customer
The gameplay is rubbish as you can only look in one direction. The buttons are unresponsive. The game is easy to complete and you use no skill to complete the game. Finnally just don't buy this game.

1.0 out of 5 stars DO NOT BUY THIS GAME!!!, 30 Jan 2006
By A Customer
This game took me one day to complete. The controls are rubbish and you cannot move the camera around. The only levels are the some lessons in the school, the three tasks and voldemort at the end. A very disappointing debut for harry Potter on the PSP.

3.0 out of 5 stars Fun, but simple
Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire is great fun while you go though the levels. But afterwards, looking back, you'd think that you'd have wanted more out of it. Read more
