The first time I heard Sissel's wonderful voice a few years back, I was blissfully unaware of who it was, but since discovering her I have been captivated by it ever since. Her involvement with the Titanic soundtrack was a great introduction and I have been following her work form then. This new album is just fabulous and is her best yet in my eyes - the arrangements are superb and her voice is sounding better than ever. Sissel's voice has such a pure and natural tone to it, it is a very calming experience listening to this music. Opening with the brilliant 'Vitae Lux', the standard is set for the whole record, and the quality never lets up throughout the whole fourteen tracks. 'Wachtet Auf, Ruft Uns Die Stimme' is another personal favourite. It is so easy to put this CD on, slip away form the hustle and bustle of everyday life and just get taken in by Sissel's majestic voice. Already a huge star in her native Norway, 'Into Paradise' should be the album to see Sissel get the recognition she deserves in the UK.

This is my third CD/DVD of Sissel and, eagerly awaited, it didn't disappoint. Her voice remains as crystal clear as earlier and, although the selection of music is slightly different from 'My Heart' it is as enjoyable - if not more so. How Sissel has remained virtually unknown in the UK is difficult to understand, particularly when someone like Katherine Jenkins is so well known can sell so many records with similar (but certainly not the same) choice of music. Sissel's voice is as good as her's though very different in tone and timbre obviously. Tracks themselves? Well, the last track 'Like an Angel Passing Through' is worth the cost of the CD alone. Add to that a superlative rendition of 'Dido's Lament' (performed better in my view than many of the operatic soprano versions) and Balfe's 'Marble Halls' (ditto) and you have, with just three tracks, hours of listening! I was intrigued by the 'Sancta Maria' to Mascagni's music from Cavelleria Rusticana, again beautifully sung, and the 'Sleeping Princess'. Altogether this is an album worthy of great things, but then so is 'My Heart' and the concert DVD? If you havent got it, buy it. You won't be disappointed. Oh, and buy this as well, and My Heart, and everything else she has ever recorded!! I am.

Since I first heard her perform at the Olympic Games in Lillehammer I've been a huge fan of Sissel...and now with "Into Paradise" she delivers one of her best works by far...a vast variety of styles...all presented in that unique cristalline voice that makes her so special...
My favourites are "Dusk" with it's haunting sound...and "Like An Angel Passing Through My Room" - originally by ABBA on their 1982 album "The Visitors"...she delivers a dazzeling performance - and can in every way compete with the original...
Little shining diamonds apart from the 2 mentioned above are "Dido's Lament", "In Paradisum" and "Marble Halls"...
If you have the chance to lay your hands on this collection of brilliant songs - take your chance and buy it...you won't regret it...
