Product Description

Manufacturer's Description

The Emprex 6GB MP3 player is a feature-packed mini hard drive based unit, which is ideal for first time buyers and enthusiasts alike. Don’t be fooled by the large capacity (approx. 3,000 songs) because the integrated 1" hard drive means that this player will fit into even the smallest of pockets.

The unit supports MP3, WMA and OGG sound formats and reproduces truly high-quality sound with multiple equaliser presets and enhanced 3D-surround sound. The menu system can only be described as simplicity itself and allows you to access other features such the FM radio and voice recorder in almost no time at all. With a removable and rechargeable Li-ion battery the player can last up 12 hours, much longer than most of its competitors.

The Emprex 6GB MP3 player can also function as a media bank. Its On-The-Go (OTG) feature makes it possible to exchange data with other devices such as Flash Drivers, Card Readers, MP3 Players, Digital Cameras, etc. without the need for a PC.

Also included in the box is NeroMIX - the multifunctional software for all music lovers. The all-in-one application combines the functions of award-winning burn engine with numerous features relating to your music backup.

this mp3 player at first looks like fantastic value for money, however i have found it really annoying. buttons are delayed so you find yourself skipping through the menu because you pressed it too many times!the radio function is an absolute nightmare, i still havent been able to find a station.also i have found that it takes a couple of minutes for it to actually warm up and the first couple of songs it plays it skips parts of the songs and then chops the end of them off! it looks very nice and its useful that you get a carry case to protect it, its deffinately not the best mp3 player i have owned but for the price i guess you get what you pay for!

    1.0 out of 5 stars Un-Emprexxed, 7 Oct 2005
By andy (Bedford, Bedfordshire United Kingdom) - See all my reviews
Deciding it was finally time to upgrade from my aging mini disc gear yet wary of numerous Ipod horror stories, I saw this featured on Amazons homepage and figured I'd grab it as it was cheaper than alternatives and seemed to have plenty of features. Everything about this player is badly executed. From the time taken to skip between consecutive songs to the poor interface and software design. It has trouble finding music files in separate folders and the record function is unusable as it refuses to stop recording, I had to pop the battery just to regain control. I wasn't expecting top of the range kit for the price just something that works. Clearly I set my hopes too high.
