5.0 out of 5 stars Great price great phone, 9 Oct 2005
I recently purchased this phone from amazon. I didnt think it was going to be that great seeing as it was only 59.99;but i was pleasantly surprised when it had great camera & video mode, fantastic colour screen!
On camera mode there are many features including frames and what time of photo you take like sepia, black and white etc. another feature i was surprised with is that when the phone is on silent the camera function does not make the camera sound, unlike the majority of phones on the market.

The only thing which is a bit of a let down is that it does not have blue tooth. But i gues that is only a minor function missing.

For the price of the handset the phone is a fantastic phone!

I woul defintely recommend this phone for anyone on a budget!

5.0 out of 5 stars Love it, 15 May 2005
I just got one of these phones as an insurance replacement for my Nokia 6100. I really love the fact that its got mp3 ringtones, a camera, voice dialling, and a centre cursor for easy use of the menu system.
Beig critical the only to points that stand against it is that the calendar will not allow for repeating appointments (e.g. birthdays) and that to get radio you have to get the handsfree radio kit (retail £29.99).
I still give the K300i 5 stars because its fun, functional and for the price it is as well stacked with features as you cam find. I'm now a converted Sony Ericsson user and my partner is a jealous Nokia 3510i user.

4.0 out of 5 stars Cute little phone, 25 Jan 2006
While this phone is nowhere near perfect, I would say that it is the best you're likely to get for this price.

Firstly it is packed with features. There is a camera that is able to take videos, MP3 player (albeit with a max of 12mb storage space to hold songs), sound recorder and music DJ (ringtone producing function)to mention a few.

I have found that the texting aspect of the phone is brilliant; the predictive text is intuitive, and there is the option of creating whole slideshows to send to people, including pictures, text and music.

As for the criticisms of this phone:

Firstly it doesn't have bluetooth. This was a minor problem for me as it does have infrared, which basically holds the same purpose.

Secondly there are some issues with the camera; the quality is not amazing, (but then what do you expect for £50), and the noise that is made when taking a picture is fairly loud. The only remedy to this is to call a freephone number (I think 452 is the best) and then push the centre button twice to get to the camera. Then no noise will be made when taking pictures.

The third criticism I have heard is that the sound is fairly quiet, although I have found it more than adeqaute for me, both when making calls and when playing ringtones. The only time I have felt it lacking is in videos or sound recordings when the person speaking is standing far away from the phones microphone.

Overall I am very pleased with this phone, but would probably only recomend it to people on a budget, as I was when I bought it. If you are willing to spend a little more, then there are obviously much better phones on the market, but this phone is enough for any entry-level customer.
