Product Description

From the Manufacturer

The extraordinary conflict in Somalia in the Fall of 1993 between U.S. Special Operations Forces and the Habir Gidr militia caught the world's attention. This is your chance to experience 16 intense single-player missions, similar to those encountered at that time, from Operation Restore Hope to the climactic battle of Mogadishu. Engage in close-quarters battle, sniper fire, air attacks, and room takedowns as a Ranger or a member of Delta Force.

Test your fortitude in four-player split screen Co-op missions exclusive for the Xbox or fight it out over live in Team Deathmatch, Deathmatch, TKOTH, and much more!

4.0 out of 5 stars Black Hawk 'Up', 26 Sep 2005
By Mr. Sean Harris "The H" (Newcastle, UK) - See all my reviews
(REAL NAME)
I purchased the game as a result of trading in a very disappointing rainbow six lockdown, which seemed too hard to actually be enjoyable. I was pleasently surprised with what I found in Black Hawk Down.

The game injects you and various platoons into a middle eastern conflict, whereby each mission draws you closer to the overall theme of the game in which you have to retreive and lead out fallen soldiers in samaria (at least thats what I think its about).

The gameplay is entirley playable, and builds on from similar games such as the Ghost Recon series - which can be very tactical but highly playable also. The levels are built on huge landscapes, and although the graphics dont always blow you away, they certainly create atmosphere and tension in the heat of the conflicts you come upon.

Your team mates actually do as they are told! And the online multiplayer options are seriously playable, the game also boasts a total 32 player in-one game opportunity, which even cracks the whips on many more recent shoot em' ups that dont seem to cut the grade.

Worth a shot if you're into shoot em ups, and enjoy a challenge

By A Customer
what can i say?this game was diapponiting having played the pc version i can say it is far better than this ripoff.for one the graphics are crap and i do find the idea of opfor running an gunning an getting all there shots on target/as i am in army i find this idea pathetic. The only thing me and my oppos found good was multiplayer we had fun with that but thats all that stops it from getting one star.Buy the pc version if you can it much better

3.0 out of 5 stars DIDN'T LIVE UP TO IT'S FILM COUSIN, 31 Oct 2007
Fun:3.0 out of 5 stars
After the adrenaline action of the film, this game was a bit of a letdown.

The action is basic and the graphics fuzzy with distant objects, whereby you may attack a bush or a boulder by mistake. It wasn't all bad but there are better games to be played.
