Philips Bodygroom is the first all-in-one shaving and trimming system designed exclusively for your body, not your face. So now you can shaver wherever you want—chest and abs, groin area, underarms, legs, back and shoulders. It has an easy clip-on attachment so you can shave as well as trim anywhere. Its hypoallergenic foil makes it suitable for sensitive skin, while the chromium stainless steel blades shave even the toughest of hair ultra close and smooth. It’s rechargeable and fully waterproof, so you can also use it in the shower.

Shave and Trim Bodygroom’s dual function shave and trim system allows you total control over how much hair you remove. Go for a super smooth shave or use the special attachment to trim and tidy body hair without completely removing it.

Wet and Dry Because Bodygroom is 100% waterproof it’s easy to clean and is ideal for use in the bath or shower (it even comes with its own hanging cord so you can keep it close to hand).

Rechargeable Bodygroom’s charging stand makes charging neat and simple. A single full change (12hr) provides up to 1hr of cordless shaving – enough to deal with even the hairiest of bodies.

But does it work? Having volunteered as Amazon’s long-haired guinea pig, I was keen to put the product through its paces and find out if it was as versatile as its makers claim it is.

Cordless and waterproof, part of the what’s so good about the BodyGroom is that you can use it anywhere – even in the shower. The unit features an easy to hold, tapered body to help you use it at a variety of different angles depending on the job you are trying to do and making even inaccessible areas quick and easy to get under control. The real secret of the BodyGroom’s success is its dual function shaving head. Featuring a removable plastic guard, the design of the head means that the product works both as a conventional shaver, for total hair removal in some areas, and as a trimmer to trim and tidy in others.

Getting the hang of using the BodyGroom was easy enough and will come pretty naturally to anyone that’s ever used an electric shaver. Of the two functions, trimming is slightly trickier but by no means difficult – just remember to use a mirror to judge the results, especially if trimming below the waist, as you’ll always appear hairier to yourself from above than you would to an onlooker… and you don’t want to end up taking more hair off than you’d intended!

When shaving using the BodyGroom, the hypoallergenic shaving foil certainly does a good job, leaving a nice smooth finish and no nasty shaving rash to spoil the look. The gently rounded shape of the head also meant that there were no nasty nicks even when using the product on very sensitive areas.

Whilst the BodyGroom does come with a full set of operating instructions, these are rather brief and it would have been good if Philips could have provided a slightly more comprehensive set of hints and tips on shaving the different zones of your body.

To recharge the BodyGroom the handle simply slots into a rather funky stand (supplied) where an 8-hour cycle will bring the unit back up to full strength. According to Philips each charge gives the unit enough power for up to an hour of shaving, which based on our experiments should be enough for even the hairiest bodies.

All in all the BodyGroom is a very well designed product that brings men’s grooming products bang up to date. Effective and easy to use, it’ll quickly help you keep body hair under control and is the simple, painless way to a new look. Highly recommended.--Adi Himpson, Amazon.co.uk
