5.0 out of 5 stars No more fiddly doofreychat thingmibob headsets, 10 Jul 2005

This is an excellent bit of kit. plugged it in. Installed the software. Registered it on the SKYPE network and 5 minutes later was yakking to me dad like he was in the next room. This thing is the Bee's Knees. Pick it up and the software fires up, tells you who's online in your contacts list and with one mouse click you're away. If you have high maintainance daughters who spend all day talking on the phone to their equally high maintainance mothers then this is the baby for you. Think of all the drink you'll be able to buy with the money you'll save. Yes the instruction pamphlet is the size of a luncheon voucher but even a Two Toed Sloth on Mandrax could install this beastie. If my dad can install it without wrecking his computer then anyone can. Give your headset to the dog to chew and get one of these. Toodle-pip.

5.0 out of 5 stars Fantastic Phone!, 7 Oct 2005
This is a really useful phone and is exceptionally easy to install, as mentioned by the other reviewers.

The one problem that I have found is that if the earpiece volume is too loud then the people on the other end will hear themselves echoing back...

Still, mustn't grumble when it's the best quality budget handset on the markwt that I have seen :)

5.0 out of 5 stars If you prefer a phone to a head set!, 30 Jun 2005

If you prefer to use a handset instead of a headset ... this is the thing for you ... the clarity is excellent ... with only the smallest hint of echo.

It is small enough to be discreet but robust enough to stay where it is put.

Has some nice features ... Skype opens automatically when you lift the receiver ... and you can do basic navigation.

I have two minor niggles though ... the instructions are a little sparce and the ring tone is non too kind on the ears
