Little Milton has had one of the longest and most successful careers in the blues, from his early days with Sam Phillips' legendary Sun Records and the Chess and Stax labels, through to his more recent string of recordings for Malaco.
Little Milton has had one of the longest and most successful careers in the blues, from his early days with Sam Phillips' legendary Sun Records and the Chess and Stax labels, through to his more recent string of recordings for Malaco.
His Telarc debut 'Think of Me', is a blues roots album containing elements of gospel, soul, R&B and country. This is the same blend of sounds that made him stand out 50 years ago from the standard 12-bar blues of the time. Achievements in his long career include being inducted into the Blues Hall of Fame, a WC Handy for Blues Entertainer of the Year and a Grammy Nomination.
'Think Of Me' features - almost exclusively - personal songs penned by Milton and co-writer Jon Tiven in a contemplative and contemporary soul blues setting.
