I guess I was hoping for some O.D.B.-level craziness, or at least something suiting the moniker of this shower cap-wearing fool. But nope, just weed raps over generic production. A few scattered beats shine through and guests like Big Boi and Devin the Dude are always welcome when they get mic time, but the fact that you have to pack your album with so many skits, so many guests and so many producers suggests that, well, you shouldn't be getting a solo album in the first place. Not a complete waste, as Bizarre's slow rap style conjures up the occasional line that turns heads and shifts eyes, although there's no-one in the world who has sat through this entire 70 minutes, right?

2.0 out of 5 stars Not Really A Solo Effort..., 11 Mar 2009
By M. P. Williamson - See all my reviews
(REAL NAME)
I will confess; I have never been the biggest Hip Hop fan - it has become in recent years far too much style over substance, and there is only so many times you can hear about how many people get shot so they could get laid.

That said, I always held a soft spot for D12 - the band who claimed the same things as many other gangster rappers, but then admit if anything actually happened, they would be gone (listen to One Shot Two Shot as a classic example of this mocking style). Bizarre and Eminem in particular always shone out from the band with their controversial lyrics. So when this was released, I bought it straight away. By track 3 i found myself regretting it instantly. Back in days of the CD Player (for me anyway) I found myself literally wearing the battery out listening to this, fast-forwarding through the mediocrity and cheap beats to the occassional funny verse or the occasional shining guest start shamefully shunned to the end of a song.
Occasional highlights save this from being another nail in the coffin to hip hop, but too much filler material stop this from being a recommended purchase. (I also have to question the idea to cite this as a solo album with just how many guest appearances feature on this - out of 20 track, I believe Bizarre is on his own for about 3 of them.... the video for one of which still features guest stars)
