With the plethora of 'best of' collections coming out in recent years and no sign of any new material from MK, the new, or even the old reformed L42, this is a timely reminder of why the band were such an underground hit in the early to mid 80s.
Recorded live in 1983, the musicianship stands out, as always, even if the singing at times, does not!
Some classics here including Heathrow, 43, I Want Eyes, and 88 far outweigh the weaker efforts (Dance on Heavy Weather, Out of Sight etc)
This album will add well to any L42 fans collection, as well as being a fine introduction to the back catalogue for those whose understanding of L42 is confined to the mega successful Running in the Family and World Machine.
Well worth a tenner!

This is an excellent double-disc set for the price - a complete concert recorded in 1983 for radio, the sound quality is great. I had my doubts, thinking it might be a cheaply produced, badly-recorded affair. Instead, you get the band at their musical best, and like the previous review mentioned..a couple of bums vocal notes.

But given the energy of their shows back then, it's to be expected and doesn't take away from the performance - in fact, it's nice to hear the band completely live with no studio fixups.

Well worth the price and a great setlist to boot!
