1.0 out of 5 stars Good product if it worked!, 3 May 2006
By Sometimes gruntled (Hampshire United Kingdom) - See all my reviews
After buying a Goodmans television which failed from the box ( only working on one speaker )and having it replaced with another
which eventually failed the audio again I was reluctant to by another one from this manufacturer. However, I wanted a bedside clock-radio with DAB technology and CD play capabilty, and this one was the only one readily available so I went for it. Oh dear! Straight away something not right: the remote doesn't turn on the CD player.
O.K., no big deal, I can use the button on the side, not worth returning it. The rest seemed to work O.K. The radio is nice and
clear, the dual alarms are a good feature. Some niggles here though:to press the buttons means so much pressure it moves the whole unit backwards. If you use the radio for a wake up and you use the radio on timer the night before, the radio won't come on in the morning, the buzzer will. The CD player however, got worse. It now randomly stops when playing CD's ( tried with several CD's just in case ).
So, in summary, not a bad machine, but I can't recommend it due to the poor reliability.

3.0 out of 5 stars does the job!, 11 Oct 2006
By Salsa Diva (Nottingham) - See all my reviews
Mine works perfectly (as does my Goodman TV, coincidentally!!) - I have had it nearly twelve months. I find it easy to use, reliable DAB signal for the most part, alarm works fine.... only complaint is slightly tinny sound of CD/music so I am buying something with more oomph for dancing round the kitchen. This is fine for the bedroom and as a radio alarm which is what I mostly wanted (FM signal is poor where I live).

1.0 out of 5 stars Very poor design, 7 Jan 2007
By M. Strugnell - See all my reviews
(REAL NAME)
Purchased this four months ago and was pleased with the sound and features, but very poor design means that the labels for each button are fixed below the perspex cover, so it is almost impossible to see what the function of each button is. There are far too many fiddly buttons which could be reduced with a bit of clever ergonomic design.
Having finally memorised what each button did, the LED display failed after just four months - and we've lost the guarantee! NOT happy!
