Atlantis goes from strength to strength, 21 Jun 2005
Another excellent offering from the Stargate:Atlantis spin off.In Hot Zone, McKay is once again uncomfortably in the thick of the action- responding with his characteristic acidic wit- while Sheppard races to his aid against the better judgement of Dr Weir. Sanctuary sees the team land in a pre-technological paradise after a close shave with the wraith. The inhabitants, and their local priestess, seem in perfect health and totally untouched by the wraith- but all is not as it seems. A great twist at the end here. Before I sleep is another excellent episode, one of the best to date in my opinion. The team discover an elderly woman in stasis while exploring the city. Upon awakening, the woman identifies herself as none other than Dr Weir, and proceeds to explain how she ended up in stasis- sheding light on the explorers' early days in atlantis in the process. Finally, The Brotherhood sees the team once again in search of a ZPM on another planet, but the Genii hear of their search and take the opportunity to try to turn the situation to their advantage... All in all, Atlantis goes from strength to strength, showing the vigour and imagination we haven't seen since the hay-day of SG1.
