Product Description

CD Description

'Lost And Found' is the third album from American metallersMudvayne. This release steers away from the nu-metal scene that they became part of and sees the band mix metal with more commercial sounding rock. It was produced by Ugly Kid Joe's Dave Fortman.

4.0 out of 5 stars Find this Album, 19 April 2005
By A Customer
Like American Head Charge and Mushroomhead, Mudvayne have always been wrongely tarred with the nu-metal brush. The third real offering from the band, whilst differing from LD.50 & The End of All things to Come, is still recognisably Mudvayne. Gone however, is the math-metal spasticity of the previous albums. This is not to say Mudvayne are now purveyors of a nu-metal sound. It is more of a compromise and hell, even the most uncompromising bands do it, just listen to the Dillinger Escape Plans latest opus! This is not to say that these are not great albums. Lost and Found is a slow burner of a record, but then all great records are. If I wrote this review in two weeks time I would undoubtably give it 5 out of 5. Rolling drums, multi-layer vocals, pumping bass and more guitar effects then you ever thought existed. This is a beautifully crafted record from an immense band who are a credit to modern metal. Give this record a chance. You will learn to love it.

5.0 out of 5 stars Brilliant.. A work of art, 27 Jun 2005
When I first saw the video of 'Happy?' (the first single off 'lost and found') I was dissapointed. I felt like they had lost all the power and mania they had and turned it into a mediocre band playing in a flowery field. I was wrong. I listened to the first song 'Determined' and straight away I loved it. This album gives you one great song after another, even 'Happy?' got through to me and ended up being one of my best tracks off the album. This is a truley great heavy metal album and every heavy metal fan should own a copy. Its not quite the same as the other mudvayne cds, But it still kicks arse and in my opinion is the best record they have ever produced.

4.0 out of 5 stars The blueprints have been made!, 29 May 2006

(REAL NAME)
Metal seems to be the worst genre in the world for churning out bands that start off with originallity and huge amounts of promise and then ... well, they seem to settle down a little I suppose!

This album is a great metal album no doubt. But if, like me, your aware of the genius that is L.D.50 then don't hold your breath.

They seem to have discovered the blueprints for writing great catchy metal that sells well and a lot of their unique madness has sadly faded.

If you're a first time MuDvAyNe buyer then I recommend L.D.50 it's a mindblower!

If you know them well then expect a more refined "The End of All Things To Come" ... with a little less surprises!

4.0 out of 5 stars Unlike the first two mudvayne albums.....Still good fun!
