Essentially this could be defined as a dance tune, however with a seamless mix of styles throughout, rather than define it I would credit it as being quite a unique kind of song. There is a mixture of 3 styles here that blend together seamlesly. With a dance-like beat, acoustic chorus and a surprisingly good piece of rap that drops in, the song unfolds very nicely.

Punching in with the quirky gorillaz baseline that is now almost a gorillaz trademark, slowly damon begins unfolding a story. Gradually this moves in to a dreamy chorus with acoustic guitar. This bit has an almost fairytale-like quality (my favourite bit). Then just after chorus a rap section drops in which sounds really cool and complements the song well.

The video for this is really awesome so check it out if you get a chance.

I am really looking forward to the album!

I'm not a big hip-hop fan, very selective about my music, and haven't been listening to much music for a few years now but heard this on that iPod commercial and tracked it down just so I could buy it. And their video just enforces how creative these guys are--such a welcome breath of fresh air from the boring vids of singers with jiggly girls dancing around. Yeh, I'm trying to see if there is a "dance mix" extended versions of Feel Good Inc. available.
