Album Description

Mariah Carey's tenth studio album is the long-awaited follow-up to 2002's "Charmbracelet". The album finds Carey's broad range of musical talents on full display, as every one of its 14 songs bears her signature as writer and co-producer. Carey continues to work with today's top R&B and hip-hop producers, such as the Neptunes, who lend their signature production style to two tracks: "To the Floor" (featuring Nelly) and "Say Somethin'" (featuring Snoop Dogg ). The album's other featured guest is Twista, who shows up on "One and Only." The first single, "It's Like That," is one of four songs co-produced by Mariah and Jermaine Dupri, along with "Get Your Number," "Shake it Off," and "We Belong Together."

'The Emancipation Of Mimi' is the tenth studio album from Mariah Carey and her second for the legendary Def Jam label. Featuring a whole host of guest producers and vocalists including The Neptunes, Jermaine Dupri, Nelly, and Kanye West, the album sees Carey once again mixing pop, R&B, and hip hop with her unique vocal abilities. The single 'It's Like That'is also included.

I have to say, before I bought this album I thought I would be disappointed, but I love it! Ma fav tracks all have a star next to them so look out...

Well, the album was very impressive and I enjoyed listening to it, the best track is Get Your Number (with Jermaine Dupri), I recommend if you liked It's Like That then you will like the rest of the album. Also, the album shows off Mariah's very beautiful voice, Joy Ride is also really nice to listen to if you need to kinda slow down and relax. Buy this album!

When i got this album i wasnt sure if i'd like it, i sometimes find Mariah can be a little frustrating with her high pitched screeching but this album has none of that. When i heard her 'it's like that' track i got up and started dancing and then the 'we belong together' made me sit down and get emotional!!!! this album has a real mixture of moods in the songs but i like them all. i would advise people to buy this album if you like Mariah because it's got something for everyone (apart from the london person, hell no - hell yes i say!) It's a great comeback - Mariah, well done!

I have to say im not the worlds greatest Mariah Carey fan, but i decided to buy 'The Emancipation of Mimi' album anyway and she has won me over. What an amazing album!! She really does have a fantastic voice. There is nothing negative i can say about it, really is a good album. Good variety of songs which makes it interesting to listen to.
I wasn't really sure whether to get it or not but im so glad i did!!
