5.0 out of 5 stars Salon Kitty Uncut, 8 May 2005
By A Customer
As I have Seen this film before This DVD version is is very good this is because first its UNCUT and for that reason alone it well worth the money. Also the picture quiltery is excerlent and the film it self is very good. For those who have seen it before will notice in this UNCUT version there are important sections of the film which has been added that has never been seen before legaly in this country. This film contains some of the STRONGEST full frontal NUDITY seans ever commited to a film so it not for those who dislike such sceans. Other than that I would recomend that any one who has seen it before by this DVD.

2.0 out of 5 stars not very good, 14 May 2008
This dvd marks the films first completely uncut appearence on british video. The story is about a plan by the nazis to expose traitors by opening a brothel run by madame Kitty and then monitor what the troops are saying to the girls thanks to recording equipment hidden in the brothel rooms. This could have been an entertaining exploitation film but is let down by Tinto Brass'direction rivaling Jess Franco whith his obssesive use of the zoom lens(though Franco probbably would have made a better film)and the non acting of "actress" Teresa Ann Savoy. The films good points include a brilliant score from Bruno Nicholai excellent production design from Ken Adam and an over the top performance by Helmut Berger.
The dvd is the fully restored version of the film with over 18 minutes of new footage including a pointless scene of a pig being slaughterd wich has nothing to do with the plot but was probbably included for shock value.
The transfer is widescreen (1:78.1) anamorphic and the extras include an interveiw with Tinto Brass in english which is hard to understand but sadly there are no subtitles other extras include the trailer and trailers for other Argent films titles.

1.0 out of 5 stars Kitty litter., 4 Feb 2008
Part of the legendary Tommy Cooper's act involved him being half dressed as a British soldier and half as a German and carrying out a conversation with himself. This film begins with a similar concept where a woman/drag artist is man and woman. Tommy Cooper was a genius. This actress looks like Harpo Marx and sings like Groucho for what seems hours. From then on it is downhill fast. Without doubt this is one of the worst films ever made from subject matter - the SS running a brothel and featuring a dwarf and paraplegic - to the script, the acting and the direction. Many scenes seem to have been included for the gratuitous nastiness involved. Avoid at all costs.
