1.0 out of 5 stars DON"T BUY IF YOU ARE A FAN! - SUPPORT THE BAND!, 24 May 2005
This film by Sogo Ishii was originally released in relation to Einstuerzende Neubauten's first visit to Japan and represents a document of their amazing creative force and energy

A release of a DVD version coincides with EN's 25 year anniversary, underlining their acheivement and diversity throughout this period. However, this particular release is not the celebration it should be. It is well documented how EN were absolutely ripped-off by their former record company (who did the same to many others, including Coil), so it is no coincidence that these same people should pop up again and continue in the same way:- cashing in while the band do not benefit for their work, or have a say in this particular release - some are bizarre.

Information about the official, sanctioned Einstuerzende Neubauten supported DVD, which is superior in picture quality, actually credits the people involved and does justice to the original film is available at www.neubauten.org in the News section.

The original film is a fascinating record and artistic statement that would be assured of 4 or 5 stars - but don't be fooled by this inferior version/ release - it stinks.
