My daughter aged 2 has loved this DVD from 12 months onwards. It's in little bite size sections so it keeps her glued to the TV as it's always changing. It's got a really good mix of songs and stories so there's lots of variety. As one of her most played DVDs, I have to say it's one of the few that doesn't drive me bonkers when sitting through it for the hundredth time! Neil Morrisey narrates really well and it's clear as it goes on exactly which letter of the alphabet he has reached. Excellent value for money, I would recommend this for anyone with a child under about the age of 3.

My 2 1/2 year old is just getting interested in letters, and since she loves Maisy I thought this would be a good way to help her learn. The first day she watched this video she asked to watch it again twice! It's really well designed -- for each letter the upper case and lower case letter come onto the screen, and Neil Morrissey says both the letter's name and its sound. Then it switches over to a little story in which 2 or 3 words beginning with that sound are illustrated, and spelled out at the bottom of the screen. The little stories are fun and sometimes overlap into the next letter of the alphabet. My personal favourite is the train that shows S and T -- with cute snakes that roll into the train and jumping frogs whose eyes remain visible when the train goes into a tunnel. The letter X is illustrated in a very creative way too, not the usual boring xylophone, but "x is in excited and excuse me". At the end of the video, as the credits roll, all the letters of the alphabet appear again with a little animated illustration showing one of the items that began with that letter that was in the video, so if you're watching with your child this is a good chance to repeat all the letters and their sounds over again.

This DVD is fantastic. Uses both letter names and sounds to say the alphabet. Entertaining. My toddler is mesmerised whilst it is on and enjoys the capers of Maisy and her friends. Easy way to help reinforce alphabet learning.

I can't believe it is only a fiver!
