5.0 out of 5 stars A banquet of blood, 11 Mar 2009
By Mr. Jonathon T. Beckett "vampire lover" (Dracula's Crypt) - See all my reviews
(REAL NAME)
!!!!WARNING! MAY CONTAIN SPOILERS!!!
An anthology film of sorts, the film starts with a journalist visiting a cemetary to interview the caretaker. She asks about the human interest in his job, and he proceeds to tell her two tales.
In the first, a duplicitous gangster invites some friends to his wifes birthday party, only for some gatecrashers from hell to arrive. The objects of contention are a suitcase full of cocaine, and more importantly another suitcase containing a heart in a chamber. As the accusations and counter accusations mount so the body count rises and the blood flows freely.
In the second, equally bloody tale set in the middle ages, a wicked inquisitor David Deming(David Creedon) and his sadistic assistant Thomas Brewster(Russell Friedenburg) discover the whereabouts of a renagade priest Father Flynn and his flock. Deming orders the slaughter of the congregation and returns to his castle with Flynn and the same heart seen in the first story. He then discovers that the more people he slaughters, the more powerful the heart becomes.
The blood flows freely in both stories, so if the sight of the red stuff flowing offends you, I suggest that you resist from buying this gorefest(the special effects are pretty realistic in places). There are a couple of great performances in both stories. In the first we have a great performance from Simon Newby as bug eyed psycho Mortimer, slaughtering his way through the party guests with the help of his mute henchman Rick(Thomas Reitmair), and in the second we have a wonderfully fey performance from Creedon as Deming, and Friedenburg is equally good playing Brewster with a constant smirk. If the two stories don't immediatly connect, bear with them as it will all make perfect sense in the end,as the journalist learns to her cost
An excellent film, but not for the easily offended. 5 out of 5

5.0 out of 5 stars Get it!, 24 Mar 2005
This is a megga film, Olaf Ittenbach directed this back to back with Garden Of Love. It is a collection of two stories told by a graveyard caretaker, the first story tells of an evil gangster who frames one of his employees and aranges has his wife thrown to her death from a tower block. The night after the murder while he and his wife is celebrating his wifes birthday two vengeful psychos come and causes total carnage.

The second story tells of a sadistic witchfinder whose motive is really power, he sends one of his henchmen to one of his employees house to rape and kidnap his wife. He takes joy in torturing her and then killing her but he kills her for a reason.

This is an insane film, lots of gore. At the same time well made, some of the cast from Legion Of the Dead are in this.
