Manufacturer's Description

The only game based on 20th Century Fox's upcoming feature film, Fantastic Four is a team based action adventure in which players harness the Marvel superheroes' unique and amazing powers through a compelling single-player mode or two-player co-operative gameplay experience. Authored by Zak Penn, the writer of the movie X2: X-Men United, the game's storyline follows the Fantastic Four movie plot and expands the adventures by letting players stretch, control fire and use invisibility and brute force to defeat evil super-villains in new environments and familiar comic book locales.

Challenged to master each super hero's individual powers and combine them to level even more devastating attacks, players must battle the never-before-seen enemies and the ultimate evil - Doctor Doom - to save the human race from disaster. Play as each unique member of the Fantastic Four as you assume their persona and master their individual talents to solve puzzles, overcome obstacles and combat enemies

  • Mr. Fantastic (Intelligence): Use your ability to stretch in order to attack from a distance, squeeze into tight spaces and reach places no one else can. Use Mr. Fantastic's brainpower to heal characters, hack computers, over-ride security systems and take control of enemy's weapons to use against them.

  • The Invisible Girl (Stealth): Turn invisible and perform stealth moves with ninja-like speed or immobilize enemies through telekinetic powers. The Human Torch (Fire): Create walls of fire and supernova fireballs as you hover or shoot fire from your fingertips and bend flames at your will as you ward off enemies.

  • The Thing (Strength): Use brute force to pick up objects or tear them apart, break through walls and obstacles and obliterate enemies.

Control the Fantastic Four together as a team with dynamic switching, team-based combat and two-player co-op mode. Wreak havoc on enemies in destructible environments that get thrashed in battle

    5.0 out of 5 stars A pleasing experience, 21 Jul 2005

As most of you know this game is to coincide with the film, so we are given the chance to thus live the film (if you get me). The game doesnt just stop there the story has been expanded as you cant just walk around and fight only doom. New bad guys from the comics have been included to keep gamers interested. Although many have said this game is short , i think that the game is long enough with like 9 missions give or take, and with each mission there is about 4 levels on average. The game allows you to play each member of the 4 alternating between them. If anything this game is very similar to x men legends except not as good. Oh and there is a difficulty setting for those who want to really have a challenge.

Overall i think this game is brill it gives you the chance to be a super hero so whats there to hate? Controls are easy to follow and the graphics are pleasing enough.

If you liked the movie then you will love the game in the game you can sometimes choose what person to play as unlock stuff in season mode like new people to fight and new places to fight in and everthing so if you see it in shops i would recomend you to buy it.

    3.0 out of 5 stars Dissapointing, 16 Jul 2005
I was hoping that the game would play as good as the film looks good, but sadly tht was not to be.
At first this game is a novelty but as with all novelties they ware out. The in-game graphics are poor but the cut scene graphics are quite good. The game assumes you the role of The Thing, The Invisible woman, Mr.Fantastic and the human torch, allowing you to alternate between them. I found this game very similiar to (dare I say It)......... Shrek 2. However I can see how some people can like this but it just was not "4" me.
