5.0 out of 5 stars A Cruel World, 18 Jul 2005

Finally, the album all vision of disorder fans have been waiting for. Tim Williams and Mike Kennedy with their new band, bloodsimple, have released their new album "A Cruel World", and it's awesome (believe it).

Formed from the ashes of vision of disorder, bloodsimple's album is superb, the first song "Straight Hate" is simply a very heavy song, with a great ending, "Path To Prevail" is awesome aswell, ace lyrics and music to go with. "What If I Lost It" is also good aswell, pretty nice chorus, I mean the lyrics in it, but everything in these songs are very awesome indeed. example: music, lyrics, etc.

The others "Blood In Blood Out" is quite heavy, the chorus is. Great song! "Sell Me Out" has a magnificant chorus, "This is the last time, you try to justify.." that is a good bit or quote, doesn't matter. "The Leaving Song" is mainly acoustic but it gets heavier in the chorus, "Show me how it is to lose..."

"Running From Nothing" is a good no.7 song, as I see it, good chorus, I have to say that Tim Williams's vocals are great throughout this unique album! The title song is doublely awesome, "You know it all, a waste of time..." thats a great bit. "Flatlined" is quite good, ace ending. And then blasts "Falling Backwards" which features guest vocals from Chad Gray of Mudvayne. Then the final one "Plunder" has a good guitar solo

This album is simply explosively heavy and every vision of disorder fan should get this, YEAH! This in one word, "UNIQUE!" 110/100%

~ Calum Fairweather (bloodsimple fan)

5.0 out of 5 stars The new VOD..., 9 Feb 2006

I wasn't sure what to expect from this album. Being a major Vision Of Disorder fan, especially the latter stuff, I was really dissapointed when I learnt they had split up. I knew it should be fairly good when BS consists of Tim Williams on vocals (former VOD frontman), and Mike Kennedy (VOD guitarist). But well, this album is awesome.

It's basically the next Vision Of Disorder album. It carries on from where 'From Bliss To Devastation' left off, having some very heavy moments, to some gentle melodic moments ala 'FBTD'.
Some real standout tracks being 'The Leaving Song' & 'Flatlined'.

Buy it, you won't be dissappointed!

this is a superb album of heavy furious metal and aching and soothing ballads thrown in,the lyrics are poignant and well written and at a guess very real to tim williams and the problems he has had over the years, well worth a spin indeed, will appeal to some vision of disorder fans ,it isnt as out and out heavy as the vision of disorder boys but it will also appeal to the majority of metal fans ,so give it a try
