Product Description

Box Set Description
This limited-edition collector's set includes three of the remastered Ant catalogue, one bonus disc, and space for the three previous remastered CDs. It comes in a hard card slipcase (closed at one end) containing the three new remasters (Friend or Foe, Strip and Vive Le Rock) packaged in individual deluxe digi-paks and a black foam insert which can be removed to put in the 3 previous remasters (Dirk, Kings and Prince) released July 2004. In addition the package contains a 15 track bonus CD with various unreleased demo versions of tracks from the Ants' catalogue and new sleeve notes by Adam Ant and Marco Pirroni. This also features an unreleased cover version of Mark Bolan's "Dandy in the Underworld".

Value for money and worth buying?? Of course they are!! Even if you're not a die-hard fan and collector of Adam Ant/and the Ants the extra tracks are worth the £6 per disc that you pay. If the quality and content of the second phase are as good as the first phase, then we've all had a bargain! I've personally ordered 2 of everything, 1 to enjoy and the other to keep sealed. All 6 of the re-masters in the 'collector box' with the Redux disc will be a much sought after item in a few years time, especially in sealed, mint condition. Do yourself a favour and re-live the best sounds of the 80's with added extras, dig out the eye-liner and lip gloss and lose yourself in the world of Antmusic, if you were in your teens when Adam was king, you'll know the words and you'll love every minute....

The package design and price made too hard to resist this great collection from a band I remember being totally distingtive from any other band. Why don't have bands like this now? You get a lot of songs in this LTD set. I'm going to have to complete the set now with the first three album's now. It's worth it though as each album has a strong set of tunes. Each one is different from the last. Alway's re-inventing themselves. I do like Friend or Foe for it's singles and a 'should have been a single' called Crackpot History and the Right to Lie. Strip surprises me as he uses synth's in most songs. Landscapes Richard Burgess produces this with Adam and Marco. This is my favourite one as I am into various synth pop bands of the same era. It does have a lot of great songs which I think are just as good or better than the hit singles. Viva la Rock is rockier rockabily type of set. It's okay. Finally you get a CD called Redux, which is full of rare demo's from the eighties. The set is worthwhile purchase as it's enjoyable set of albums that burn into your concious. I just fancied something different to listen to. The gamble has paid off. Don't hesitate to buy the set.

Although I have pre-ordered this box set, and happily own everything I can get my hands on my Adam & the Ants / Adam Ant on CD format, I'm disappointed that "Rough Stuff (7:00 alternate mix)" and "Rough Stuff (6:19 alternate dub)" are still nowhere to be found on CD! Somebody correct me if I'm wrong, but I've only found these two versions on a United States 12" promo vinyl issue. Why aren't then on CD yet?!!!!!!!
