Product Description

Product Description

This is the big brother to the hand held 20Q, based on the classic 20 Questions game. Someone thinks of a word to which your first question is animal, vegetable or mineral? Responses to your questions can only be Yes, No or Sometimes. You then get 19 more questions to narrow down what the other person is thinking. This version of the 20Q allows you to share the fun with your friends and family, the dome allows a rotating display to share the questions and thoughts with all! Its fun, addictive and spookily accurate.an excellent choice if you are looking for that game with a difference. So how does it work? Well, this popular game has been available to play in software form for many years and so it has been possible to refine the huge database that contains all the words known in the dictionary and questions that have been learned by the programs over the years. Not forgetting the algorithm (method) which eliminates groups of the stored words based on responses to questions asked. All of this technology can be put onto a chip and presented for your utter amusement!

Product Description

Forget R2-D2 and meet 20Q Challenge. 20Q has several significant benefits over the droid; Firstly 20Q sits on your tabletop. Secondly 20Q has a display in plain English, and isn't storing a message for Obi Wan Kenobi. And, most notably, 20Q can actually read your mind... with the help of 20 ever-so-clever questions allied to an even cleverer electronic brain packed with stupefyingly intelligent deductive algorithms. A gadget that knows exactly what's on one's mind? Now that's what we call the appliance of science. Read on to discover how to interface with 20Q Challenge. Start by thinking of an object - any object. Animal, Vegetable, Mineral and more. Then keep it a secret and let 20Q loose on the problem. It'll begin by asking you quickfire questions, all projected on his domed display device. One can answer "yes", "no", "sometimes" or "don't know" to each. Then, with amazing accuracy, 20Q Challenge will guess the object you've imagined. Prepared to be flabbergasted, for its powers of intuition are truly amazing!

4.0 out of 5 stars Its great ,but not human !!, 5 Jan 2006
Durability:5.0 out of 5 stars Fun:4.0 out of 5 stars Educational:3.0 out of 5 stars
This version of the 20q is great ,everyone can see whats being asked by it ,as it displays to the front and back,I,ve "played " at home and learnt its language ,you need to answer its questions without confusing it ! It works fine most of the time and wins !(its very happy when it wins!) But its not a dictionary,it guesses what something is ,not inaminate things ,.
Took it to the office and people were queueing up to take it on ,and were fascinated , cruise missile was guessed by it ,when nuclear bomb was the answer ,,,its good enough!!!!!!!! Not sure how long the fascination will last ,not sure younger than teenagers will lock on to its line of thought ,,,try the smaller 20q if not sure ,,but Im having fun !!

Durability:4.0 out of 5 stars Fun:5.0 out of 5 stars Educational:4.0 out of 5 stars
This is one amazing toy, we have had so much fun playing it, and trying to fox it, but it seems to win 97% of the time! Certainly tests the brain when trying to answer the questions. Definitely a good buy for people of an older age too...fascinating!

3.0 out of 5 stars Inhuman, 14 Sep 2006
By Rex Hyman (Southampton, United Kingdom) - See all my reviews
(REAL NAME)
I bought this as a present under the influence of previous reviews, and I have to admit I was disappointed. It often gets close to the answer whilst guessing correctly only about fifty percent of the time; for example: police car rather than ambulance, seed instead of nut, vodka rather than wine. Still pretty impressive, but if we went head to head, I'd favour myself over Mr 20Q.
