Manufacturer's Description
The Samsung YH-999GS portable media device is a revolutionary handheld entertainment player that makes it easy to store and play recorded TV shows, movies, home videos, music, and photos transferred from a Windows XP-equipped PC. Built on a Microsoft platform, the YH-999GS supports WMV, WMA, MP3, and JPEG formats and is compatible with MPEG2, MS-DVR (Media Center TV files), ASF, AVI, WAV, and MIDI files. As a result, the pocket-sized powerhouse takes convergence to a new level, letting you watch and listen to your favorite entertainment anytime, anywhere, whether at the grocery store, at home, or on a plane.
The unit includes a generously sized 20 GB hard drive that stores up to 80 hours of video, 5,000 songs, or tens of thousands of pictures. Note that the device requires a Pentium 133 MHz or faster processor with 50 MB of available hard disk space.
Finally, the device comes includes a rechargeable lithium-ion battery that runs for up to 12 hours of audio and three hours of video playback. All this in a remarkably compact housing that measures a mere 3.82 by 4.21 by 0.83 inches (W x H x D) and weighs 7.96 ounces. As with all Samsung portable media players, the YH-999GS carries a 90-day manufacturer's warranty on parts and labor.
