Product Description

Manufacturer's Description

Without a doubt the most original title released this year, Alien Hominid is a breath of fresh gaming air. Coming straight from art-house developer The Behemoth, it puts a modern, artistic twist on the sideways-scrolling shooters of the past.

The word 'frenetic' doesn't come close to describing the experience of playing this super-fast and hyper-colourful explosion of a game; it literally drips with graphical style and gameplay flair. Its boundless energy easily snares hardcore and casual gamers alike into the purest gaming experience in years.

5.0 out of 5 stars What On Earth?!?, 30 Jul 2005
By A Customer
I first played Alien Homoniode at a friends house and my first reaction was: "What the heck is going on?!?". To begin with I found it hard to recognize where my little yellow dude (their are a range of hats to put on your Alien, which is cool!) was on screen. The constant action and regular boss battles work extremely well with the 2-D platforming and random jokes on offer. Do not be fooled by the 2-D graphics, there is endless fun to be had with this game in your collection. Bored or done with the main game? There are at least 6 mini-games to keep you occupied including a sort of Game Boy game with seemingly no end. (I've only made it to lvl47 so far!?! Only!) When you've got friends over you can have up to four people playing at once so the onscreen action becomes even more hectic! (Is that possible? Yes!)
A must have!

5.0 out of 5 stars Alien Hominid, 18 May 2006

Fun:5.0 out of 5 stars
This game is awesome! True to amazon it delivered within 24 hours and was already in my ps2 before lunchtime. I couldnt put the controller down for the week it took me to ccomplete this game. The gameplay is awesome, better than some 3d games on the market which cost twice as much! You are a little yellow alien, on a quest to retrieve your UFO from the clutches of the FBI, KGB and the soldiers of area 51. there are several different upgrades for your gun, so you can burn, freeze, slice, or just completely vapourise your enemies. Thrown in between the action are some truly awesome and imaginative bosses and mini bosses to fight. (I mean, who else could have thought of the butterscotch monster?)This game is perhaps a bit hard and a bit violent for kids but i would reccomend it to hardcore gamers looking for a bloodthirsty, action-packed challenge.
