I can completely understand why the other reviewer has given mashed fully loaded one star but the way you have to look at fully loaded is that IT IS NOT A SEQUEL - this game is merely an update of the first Mashed

The graphics have been improved and the cars do look slicker than their previous incarnations, as mentioned fully loaded does have the original tracks from mashed - but there are new ones there as well, i own both versions of Mashed and was quite happy to fork out 20quid for a decent upgrade of the original. I would recommend spending money on this upgrade rather than forking out 40quid for some brand new racer which does not carry the supreme multiplayer mode

To finish with only buy this for the multiplayer mode, the single player game is not strong enought to stand on its own as its very short and not that challenging.

One of the main problems with multiplayer games is that the guy who owns the game invariably ends up winning every time you play. This means that eventually, everyone else gets sick of losing and want to play something else! Not so with Mashed. This game is very easy to learn (Steer the car, accelerate and brake, fire weapons and thats about it) and in great fun to play.

The single player game is ok - not amazing, but still fun to play. You'll need to play this to unlock tracks for when your mates arrive, but then you probably won't touch it.

The most fun from this game is to be had with four players. Although this can be done by two players sharing a controller, it is much much better to have a multitap with four controllers.

If you've got 2 or 3 mates, a PS2, a multitap and enough controllers, buy this game - you won't regret it. If you only have two controllers and one mate, then this game is still fun, but doesn't quite have the same level as the four-player option. If your playing on your own, then you might want to knock another star off the score.

Having played the original Mashed, I welcome the release of fully loaded. Its not a sequel - its not intended to be. Its release is merely to bring the game up the standard it was meant to be before its rushed release. Nothing more. Its more graphically polished and they've added some new tracks to make the game better value

Multiplayer is an amazing experience, and as has been said before the single player isnt that great. Its a superb game to enjoy with your mates
