5.0 out of 5 stars A musical adventure without a dull moment, 21 Jan 2006
By James (Hertfordshire) - See all my reviews
Clive Carroll’s guitar playing is technically brilliant. I have had the pleasure of seeing him play live and on each occasion he has taken my breath away. Having said that, it is not Clive’s technical mastery that makes you want to keep listening to this album over and over again, it is the originality of his approach. For those aspiring to play the guitar Clive redefines what is possible with the instrument. Whether you are interested in playing the guitar or not, this album provides a musical adventure without a dull moment. Stand out tracks include Song For Chris Berry, Route 73 and Black Nile.

5.0 out of 5 stars ABSOLUTELY AWESOME!, 14 May 2006
Clive's technical mastery does not inhibit the enjoyment of his songs; the listener is not given a "listen-to-me-I'm-so-great" experience. His warmth and honesty is so easily conveyed through his incredible playing and makes his one guitar sound like four or five at the same time! Watching Clive play live is an amazing acoustic experience and I thoroughly recommend you see him play. He is the true guitar maestro!
