5.0 out of 5 stars Stand Alone Complex just gets better & better, 1 Feb 2007
By T. R. Alexander (East Anglia, UK) - See all my reviews
(TOP 500 REVIEWER)    (REAL NAME)
Following on from the previous two volumes, volume three again contains four episodes and again starts with an episode dedicated to the Laughing Man, in this case featuring a chat room that discusses the case and goes into detain on the back-story of the Laughing Man.

Episode ten is a totally different matter and has Section 9 investigating a serial killer while trying to deal with interference from the CIA. This episode is quite gruesome when compared with many of the previous episodes but is generally sympathetic along with it.

Episode eleven sees Togusa infiltrate a mental hospital for patients with cyber mental disorders and is very interesting with a nice twist to the story.

The final episode is a little more light hearted than the others in this volume and begins with one of Section 9's mini-tanks going missing and ends with the Major encountering a strange cyber brain that the tank discovered. All together this is probably the best of the three volumes of Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex that I so far watched.
