The label is associated with free-jazz-rock-fusion type records, but this sounds more like David Holmes covering Tool. The drums are huge, and there are more build-ups and breakdowns than any of those Sigur Ros postrock records. There are loads of instruments on it without sounding messy, and there are loads of ideas without sounding confused. If this is jazz, then it really rocks. If this is rock then it really jazzes.

Aki Kaurismaki meets King Crimson. Sort of. Title, it turns out, pinched from Kundera's Unforgettable Lightness of Being (which, in a very Kundera way, I was reading when I got this). Lots of dynamics. 'Goretex Weather Report', which you will remember as a comedy death metal track, actually mainly consists of a long, aching and beautiful coda from a keening, theremin-like synth. Lots of unisons, lots of Henry Cow too, but this is very digital, including the brilliant cover. Way better than the barking follow-up 'Grindstone', which is like a lost-it Battles.
