I did not know much about this match but I got it anyway. Liverpool A team in transition under Graeme Souness faced Sunderland a team who had a history of cup final upsets.The 1st half looked like they might do it again but Michael Thomas who ruined Liverpools Title Hopes in 89 popped up with great first-time volley to put Liverpool ahead and from there never looked back as Ian Rush steered Liverpool to Victory.The Match is not a classic compared to other Cup Finals but For True Liverpool Fans This is a must.Why.........LIVERPOOL WON!!!!
