4.0 out of 5 stars At last !!, 15 Jul 2005
This was the first time I have seen this game since I watched it as a child in 1969 (in black and white). The footage is in colour and it's great to be able to see some of those players in action again.

There are, unfortunately, no action replays of incidents, although you can hear the commentator describing the action as if he is indeed viewing such a replay. Interesting, however, are some pitch-side interviews done with Managers Mercer and O'Farrell on the bench during the match. Note how close they sat to each other - virtually on the same bench !

What is obvious is a) how bad the pitch was b) how leaden-footed some of the football was and c) that Len Glover was not the footballing genius I believed him to be back then !!

Also, take a look at some of the crowd shots. Men in their twenties are attending a football match in dark SUITS ! As if they are going to work in a bank !
