This second volume of the Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex series continues the Laughing Man story that started in the final episode of the first volume. This story takes up the first two episodes of this volume with the other two episodes (numbers seven and eight) involving a mysterious drug smuggler and illegal organ transplants respectively. Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex continues to show a great depth and maturity that is missing from many other series, animated or not, that I have seen and is a great watch.

The stories are all individual episodes that link together to form a view of the cybernetic future that is envisioned by Masamune Shirow. All the episodes in this series are very well thought out and question our ethics and ideals. Brilliant.
For the thinking anime fan.

NO SPOILER RECOMENDATION!

Welcome back to Section 9 eh?

I never wanted to be a police officer when I was young, but I do if it means I could be working with Kusanagi, Batou, Aramaki, and all the other Section 9 super cops!

Forget the movie interpretations (they were lifless and too cold compared to the original intent) this is the reality of ghost in the shell, a living breathing crime drama, that features the varying day to day cases and relationships that affect the members of S9.

Intelligence. That the key. It treats you with respect this series, and that is why its easy to appreciate the efforts that went in to making this.

Well written, great characterisation, smart action sequences and some truly tough cyber mysteries to solve. Perfectly paced too.

Each episode just rushes by,but never feels unfinished or too flabby.

Yoko Kanno: Give this woman an award soon! Her score for this show is the best i have ever heard on an anime.

Ive seen up to episode 16, and I just cant get enough of it. MORE, MORE!!!
