4.0 out of 5 stars Tekken`s Nina William`s adventure inc. Anna & Heihachi!!!, 17 Oct 2005
By muzik maker (United Kingdom) - See all my reviews
If you are a fan of Tekken then you are missing out if you dont own this game. The 360 degree combat works perfectly and Nina`s weapons include, pistols, throwing knives, batons, samurai swords grenades, machine guns, uzis and once the ammo runs out she has her martial arts to disable and attack her assailants. The martial arts moves are fluid and fast and given practise can be used with amazing effectiveness.
When you are not being attacked by assailants that discover you, you can explore your environment as in resident evil style of old where you can walk or run around and pressing action button to examine certain objects. Its a formula that has been carried for years in the resident evil series, some gamers maybe tired of it but works just as well in this game as once you go into combat mode you can move around like dante can in devil may cry and its just as satisfying shooting off rounds by pointing your analogue stick the direction you want to shoot.
The music compliments the game well with deep ambient chords on the luxury ocean liner stage at the start and just gets better as you progress. It takes time to get used to this game but as you progress it just becomes second nature and its when you get used to it that you begin to realise the greater qualities of Death By Degrees. Complete the game which will take you some time and you unlock Anna and some rather fetching costumes for Nina. Keep a look out for a young Heihachi aswell!

4.0 out of 5 stars Good but Could be Better..., 16 Aug 2005
By A Customer
I Got this game on the day of release and i found it interesting, but there are a few major issues with it such as Loading Times, You can't duck or Hide behind walls, Death By Degrees is supposed to be a stealth action game but feels more like and Adventure Beat 'em' up. But Overall The Graphics are Good, Music is Cool, Great Stroyline and the characters models are Brilliant. For those Die-Hard Tekken and Nina Fans It is Worth Purchasing!!

4.0 out of 5 stars not at all bad, 3 Mar 2006
By Mr. N. Wildman "nickwildman2" (Beds, UK) - See all my reviews
(REAL NAME)
As a fan of the tekken series, I was naturally intruiged when I saw this game. I bought it on impulse and was quite glad I did! This game feels very similar to resident evil without the zombies and you get to bash people's skulls in this!
The combat system takes some getting used to and I am not a fan of the blocking system or lack thereof but the fighting is very fun indeed! You just fight to build up your meter until you can perform a bone-shattering special move in x-ray perspective. Need I say more?!
p.s. watch out for the annoying ninjas who throw stuff at you which you can't block or dodge. grr
