Product Description

Michael Reilly Burke, Boti Ann Bliss A chilling combination of boy-next-door good looks and a murderously deranged psyche made Ted Bundy one of the most notorious and complex of all modern day serial killers. Looking for a means to satisfy his dark desires, Ted begins living out his fantasies by luring, tormenting and murdering a slew of unsuspecting women, leaving no trace for the police to solve the chain of apparently motiveless crimes. Told in shocking detail from the deranged point of view of Bundy himself, this twisted and, at times, darkly comic film captures the disturbed world of one of the most infamous serial killers of all time.

Synopsis

The story of the life and execution of serial killer, Ted Bundy who over a period of five years abducted, mutilated and murdered more than a dozen women. Handsome and charming he went 'unseen' since he did not fit the conventional killer profile.

4.0 out of 5 stars Ted Bundy- A day in the life of a twisted serial killer!, 13 May 2005
By A Customer
I've seen this movie twice and on the contrary wouldn't find that the subject matter would be my first choice usually. However I gritted my teeth and subjected myself to it twice. The Producer has done a great job at portraying just how insane the man was not just by having grizzly murder after murder but by giving quite an in depth insight into his private life and how although totally crazy managed to have and keep a girlfriend for quite sometime.Going out socialising was his way of doing research(research being to find his next suitable victim)Eventually he got caught and was executed.I rate this movie on its slickness and its success in showing Ted Bundy for what he truly was 'an absolute walking lunatic' I hope this review helps anyone who hasn't seen this movie i'd advise you watch it if your not faint hearted or queezy.

5.0 out of 5 stars Bundy, 9 Mar 2007

(REAL NAME)
Michael Reilly Burke does an excellent job potraying the serial killer Ted Bundy. If you have ever seen any real-life footage of Bundy, you realise that it is a very difficult job to play a master of manipulation.

Bundy was slick, manipulative, articulate and charming. He was a master of understanding the psychology of others and manipulating weaknesses in others such a blind -faith, vanity , arrogance and credulousness.

Micheal Reilly Burke manages to capture the Ted Bundy that was also a media darling. Burke allows us to know Bundy is a sadistic killer, but because of his charm we hope deep down we have made a mistake and caught the wrong guy. This is exactly how Ted Bundy operated.

.

Bundy is the best out of the stable of Tartan films focussing on serial killers ( this includes Ed Gein , John Wayne Gacy and Jeffrey Dahmer). Matthew Bright the Director includes some real-life footage of the twisted Bundy that adds more realism to the movie.

I commend Bright for his Directors commentary as it displays he has conducted in depth research on one of the most manipulative men of the 20th century.

The film gives you an insight into your own psychology, so it is a must for those who are interested in human nature as well as true crime.

This is well worth watching

5.0 out of 5 stars Terribly Underated..., 8 April 2008
By RDL "review monkey" (Staffordshire, UK) - See all my reviews
I understand this film got mixed reviews. Some critics have given it such a slating, which is total madness! Having read numerous books on Ted Bundy, I found many parts of this film are acurately portrayed. The complexities of Bundy meant that Matt Bright (director) had a huge amount of information to process and cram into 95mins of film. Bearing this in mind, he had to focus on the key events i.e. significant and infamous murders plus Bundy's descent into his dark desires. This film stands out above all of the other serial killer movies. Purely by the fact that it is very well directed and is honestly brutal. Michael Reilly Burke (Bundy) is a very good actor who portrays Bundy in shockingly close detail.
