5.0 out of 5 stars Brilliant, 24 Jul 2005
By A Customer
Fantastic TV series and series one and two were my favoutite when Chardonnay, Jason and all the original characters were still there.
This is a great box set, with good extras too

5.0 out of 5 stars Series 1 and 2 are *Brilliant* (the rest are poor), 18 Feb 2008
Series 1 is the best series, followed by 2. I can't believe the people saying 3 and 4 are better, it got rubbish then, I stopped watching in the middle of the forth! Conrad was an awful dweeb, not a patch on Jason. Then the new ones, and that girl from Liverpool, all just SO boring and annoying. It was sometimes like watching a bunch of whining kids - a worse version of Hollyoaks.

It was miles better when the proper (original) characters were in it, strong characters with good, solid story lines. Tanya, Jason, Sal, Donna, Frank etc. crisp and confident with exciting, fresh individual characters that all riled different emotions. The later series were average to poor, like the writers were just churning it out with no feelings, not like the first ones which were taught and powerfully done, truly excellent (and I went into it VERY sceptical to be shocked at how much I loved it). Series 1 is Fantastic on its own, but series 2 is very worthwhile too as it ties things off well.

Don't bother with the later series, just get these two amazing roller coaster rides in a bargain boxset - it goes downhill from here.

3.0 out of 5 stars Footballers wives series 2-a true review, 25 Feb 2006
By A Customer
The second series of footballers wives isn't that good. i must admit the first series was even worse but they made an improvement with the third, forth, and what i've seen of the fifth series. There weren't that good characters in the second series.Donna,Ian and Jason bored me. Chardonnay, Kyle and Superbitch Tanya made the show good if they weren't on the show no one would watch it. But otherwise it is a great show and it still has some great fun storylines. I rate it 3 stars.

3.0 out of 5 stars Not The Best
Not the best season, but you need all the collection to make sense of S3 and S4 :)
