Product Description

Manufacturer’s Description

The storyline centres on a legendary warrior known as Raikoh, the hero from the first game. Although Raikoh destroyed the demons threatening his home in the original game, evil is rising once again. This resurgence on evil prompts Seimei, a female sorceress to devote the lives of four warriors to bring back Raiko once again. With these warriors by his side Raikoh leads a powerful, supernatural team, setting the scene for a serious battle between good and evil on the streets of the capital.

As this epic tale unravels the challengers get harder and harder as player's fighting skills are well and truly put to the test. With superior graphics, weapons and warriors, Otogi 2 pushes the limits of the Xbox to bring players a spellbinding tale of bone crunching combat, and jaw-dropping destruction.

4.0 out of 5 stars Unique - in a good way!, 12 Jul 2005
Unless you played Otogi 1 you probably won't have played anything like this - I certainly hadn't! This is primarily a 3rd person melee game but with RPG elements such as experience, levels and different stats for each of your characters (which can be increased by raising levels and/or using skills related to that stat e.g. using many physical attacks results in increased physical damage and health).

The game is spread across 27 stages which can be replayed in order to get all the items, more experience or money, or just to get that 'A' for objects destroyed! This gives the game a fairly open-ended feel and lots of replayability - especially when you consider the Havoc Mode (various challenges that produce items when completed).

The only reason this gets 4/5 stars is because it is definately not for everyone, it has a very Japanease feel which I personally like but may to be to everyone's taste.
