4.0 out of 5 stars Feel good movie, 5 April 2005
By Tom (London United Kingdom) - See all my reviews
Excellent and uplifting coming of age movie.

Refreshing theme of gay boy (Vincent) as role model for straight boy (Shane) who wants to "find his voice" and ends up, like Vincent, confidently pursuing his own creative ambitions.

Shane amply repays Vincent by his respect and support in a film which beautifully celebrates friendship.

1.0 out of 5 stars Is it really a gay film??, 5 Dec 2005
By A Customer
I purchased this dvd on the strength of the online review on this site and I have to say that i was very disapointed with with it.

The film clasifies itself as a film but to be honest the main thrust of the film is surrounding the straight guy and how he comes to terms with moving out of home and discovering himself in the big bad world. The film is just unbelievable at points... who moves out of home and within 7 days becomes a drug peddler to survive...please!!!

There is no real gay plot line at all other than having a stereotypical gay edge which is as blunt as a butter knife.

Cowboys and angels is a film that I would describe as a throw away film, ok whilst watching it (whilst huffing and puffing at the very weak plot line) but once the film has finshed you feel very short changed. very short changed indeed.

There are better films out there which cover the same sort of plot line....dont buy it!!!
