The best streetball game on the market, 13 April 2005
I am a real big fan of basketball and i wasnt sure what to expect from this game, seeing as it was the first basketball game i had bought for my gamecube. Let me say that it not only lived up to my expectations but surpassed them by a long way. The features in the create-a-baller mode are incredibly accurate, with you being able to adjust the height and style of your ballers eyebrows to name a couple. After you have done this and also created a court (which is also extremely detailed)you enter into the street challenge mode, which is basically a career mode, which spans over 10 weeks with two games a day, these ranging from 'dunks only to 12' and '750,000 trick point challenge'. Sometimes you can pay to enter in tourneys and dunk contests, all which boost your rep. To start off with you can choose a team of 3 from some unknown streetball bums, but as you progress throught he game you will eventually get to play against NBA players who you can add to your squad if you beat them. If you play really well throughout the start of your street challenge then you'll soon get an offer from an NBA team to play in the 3-on-3 street league. Even after you complete your first street challenge you'll play through again with a different baller, seeing if you can get different players on the way and seeing what your nickname will be( these seem a bit strange, like The Escalator and Helium Balloon, nothing like T-Mac or Melo) The gameplay is very easy to get to grips with, and soon you'll be fuzzing the ball around the court like Allen Iverson. All in all I would give this game five stars because it is easy to pick up and play and will keep you going until NBA Street V4 comes out and even then some.

NBA street is the king of basketball games, it like what need for speed is to racing games.v3 is all about shootin' hoops with your crew and livin' it up.You can program every aspect of your team.That means face,clothes,tatoos,the lot.You can make the perfect team.Then there is create-a-court mode which covers every aspect of the court.so you can perfectly recreate your local court.It is so detailed aswell;ther are 23 different basket frames to hold the board up! After making the game yours, you need to show mad ball skills to get through career mode.This sees your team trying to be the best.This is used to get money for clothes ect. Plus,three new characters can now be unlocked. they are......
Mario,Luigi and Peach!But they are no pushovers,they are rude at basketball.They may may be twice as small as anyone else but they have superb handling and can do mad jumps.This makes for insane slam dunks. The best basketball game ever!You already know if this is the game for you.

Addictive, fast paced fun!, 21 Mar 2006
I bought this game a couple of months ago, and have so far found it extremely fun! The amount of tricks on offer is amazing, I love the fact that you can create your own pitch, and the Rule the streets mode is massive! I think that it was a brilliant idea to put Mario, Luigi and Peach in it, because seeing them skill out real basketball players is hilarious!My only problems are that when you have to hold all the shoulder buttons to pull of some the the best tricks it begins to hurt your fingers, and, I think this is what it is like in all the other street games, there is no instant replay function. It begins to annoy me, when I spend ages attempting to pull off an amazing trick, that I cannot watch it again. But apart from that, great game. For the amount of money its selling for on Amazon at the moment. I highly reccomend this game.BUY IT!!
